We are pleased to announce “Born of Fire”, a new solo exhibition by Shirin Neshat at the Parrish Art Museum, on view from 20 April to 1 September 2025. This is the artist’s first museum exhibition in the New York area in over 20 years. The show presents a non-linear survey of Neshat’s artistic development, with focused installations of four major bodies of work: Women of Allah (1993–1997), The Book of Kings (2012), Land of Dreams (2019), and The Fury (2022–2023). Curated by Corinne Erni and Scout Hutchinson, the exhibition explores key themes of rebellion, storytelling, and human connection, and includes a gallery devoted to Neshat’s private collection.

We are pleased to inform you that “>Non autem memoria<”, a new solo exhibition by Joseph Kosuth, will open on 13 June 2025 at 7 PM at the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart. Stuttgart became an important stage for Kosuth in the 1980s and 1990s. The artist held numerous exhibitions in the city and taught at the State Academy of Fine Arts from 1991 to 1997. Today, the Kunstmuseum Stuttgart holds the largest collection of Kosuth’s works in Germany. On the occasion of his 80th birthday, the museum presents a gallery curated by the artist together with director Ulrike Groos, showcasing the entire collection.

We are pleased to inform you that “Solaris”, a new solo exhibition by Anselm Kiefer, will be on view at Nijo Castle in Kyoto from 31 March to 22 June 2025. Curated by Fumio Nanjo, former director of the Mori Art Museum in Tokyo, the exhibition unfolds across the buildings and gardens of the historic castle. It features new and recent paintings and sculptures by the German artist, opening a dialogue with the arts, crafts and architecture of Nijo Castle and the city of Kyoto. In Kiefer’s words: “The utilitarian use of gold as a source of reflected illumination at Nijo Castle is a revelation to me. The confluence of aesthetics and political power on this site and the historical cycle of creation, destruction, and rebirth echoes my own consciousness.”

We are pleased to inform you that “Kiefer / Van Gogh. A Dialogue between Wheat Fields and Starry Nights” will be on view at the Royal Academy of Arts in London from 28 June to 26 October 2025. The exhibition brings together, for the first time in the UK, works by Anselm Kiefer and paintings and drawings by Vincent van Gogh from the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. It offers visitors a chance to explore the lasting influence of Van Gogh on Kiefer’s practice, highlighting shared motifs such as wheat fields, crows, high horizons, and rich painterly textures, while also underlining their connection to literature and poetry.

As part of the Festival dei Due Mondi, Fondazione Carla Fendi presents Unhappen Unhappen Unhappen — Pepper's Ghost Dioramas, a collaborative project developed with Mahler & LeWitt Studios and The Centre for the Less Good Idea. Curated by Guy Robertson, the exhibition features four performance dioramas created using the optical Pepper’s Ghost technique, with works by Anathi Conjwa, William Kentridge, Micca Manganye, and Sabine Theunissen. The term Unhappen evokes the desire to reverse personal or collective trauma — such as the legacies of apartheid and colonisation — while also acknowledging the impossibility of doing so. Its repetition functions like a mantra or a prayer, both invoking and confronting memory and history. Blending theatrical illusion and visual storytelling, the project uses reflection and transparency to stage the tension between presence and absence, trauma and reinterpretation.
